Golf event · Custom website & digital experience

A custom digital home for a Ryder Cup-style tournament.

The Bologna Cup is an annual team golf event. It needed more than a schedule page: player profiles, a draft, an admin console behind it, and content that keeps the event alive between rounds.

The engagement

Annual events like this usually run on group chats, spreadsheets, and whoever volunteers to keep track. That works until the event grows and the history matters.

The build gave the tournament a single custom home: the teams and schedule people expect, plus the parts that make it feel like a real competition, and an admin console so organizers can run it without needing me.

What was built

Custom tournament website

A purpose-built site for the event rather than a template, covering teams, schedule, history, merchandise, and photos in one place.

Player profiles

Individual profiles for participants, so players have an identity in the tournament rather than being a name in a bracket.

Draft experience

An interactive draft for assembling teams, turning what would be a group-chat argument into part of the event itself.

Admin console

A back-office area for organizers to manage the event's content and data directly, without going through a developer.

AI-generated editorial content

AI used to produce editorial write-ups around the tournament, giving the event a running commentary voice.

Instagram polls and AI-assisted content

Instagram polls and AI-assisted tournament content extended the experience beyond the website.
